Fillers are used to increase the volume of any structure in the body (lip, face, back of the hand, nose, etc.) and to fill deep wrinkles. The permanence of the fillers varies according to the product used, the average is 4-8 months. Fillers containing longer-lasting synthetic material are also available. Before the procedure, the anesthetic agent is applied by cream or injection. After waiting for a certain time, the skin is cleaned with an antiseptic substance and the filler is injected. It may be necessary to use more than one filling material for the same person, depending on the depth of the collapsed area. For reasons that are not quite understood, the effectiveness of fillers is shorter than expected in some people. Therefore, no guarantee can be given regarding the results of the application.

SIDE EFFECTS THAT MAY BE SEEN AFTER FILLER APPLICATION

•  Redness, pain, tenderness
•  Swelling, bruising, itching, infection
•  Allergic reactions, swelling with discharge, collapsed scars
•  Palpable mass asymmetry, discoloration

 CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE APPLICATION

•  Please come well rested while coming to the application
•  Do not consume alcoholic beverages before the application
•  At least three days in advance; ginkgo biloba, blood thinners, high-dose vitamin E, green tea, aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (rheumatic) drugs should be discontinued.

CONSIDERATIONS AFTER APPLICATION

•  Do not touch the application area.
•  Make-up should be done after at least 24 hours.
•  Do not massage the application area for at least 1 week.
•  Take care not to use your mimics in the application area for at least 3 days.
•  Avoid intense sports for 1 week.
•  Avoid hot environments such as saunas and hot tubs for 1 week.
•  If lip filler has been applied, do not touch a hot-cold substance for 2-3 days
•  Do not eat or drink anything until the feeling returns (2-3 hours) because the lip filler is anesthetized
