PRP Treatment

Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is obtained by processing a small vial of the patient’s blood which is then injected back to the patient.

Blood cells called platelets contain the necessary “growth factors” to repair damaged tissues in our body and enable them to return to their healthy state. If there is any damage to our tissues, these blood cells accumulate by the tissue and initiate the repair process. In PRP treatment, more cells accumulate in the damaged tissue than the platelets collected under normal conditions, and thus the repair process begins quickly and strongly.
PRP method is used in skin rejuvenation, wound healing, hair loss and acne scar treatments. Approximately 5-10cc of blood is taken from the patient for treatment. It is centrifuged in a special tube which results in  more platelets than normal accumulating in the plasma. This platelet rich plasma is given to the same person by injection. Since the person's own blood product is used, no allergic reaction is observed. The application is performed in 3-4 sessions with intervals of 4-6 weeks.
