Tummy Tuck (ABDOMINOPLASTY)

Men and women who have sagging abdominal skin that does not respond to diet and exercise, but whose body contours are smooth, are candidates for this surgery. This surgery is especially beneficial for those who have given birth several times, have stretch marks and sagging abdominal skin, and weakened abdominal muscles. Patients who intend to lose weight should postpone this surgery. It is also beneficial for women who intend to give birth to postpone this surgery until after delivery.

* ABDOMINOPLASTY

* MINI-ABDOMINOPLASTY

In full abdominoplasty, an incision is often made that extends from one hip to the opposite hip, but can be hidden beneath the underwear/bikini, and a second incision is made around the navel. In partial abdominoplasty, the incision line is shorter and the navel location may not be changed. During the operation, the abdominal skin and under-skin fat tissue are released from the muscles below it from the groin to the level of the ribs. Any weakness or hernia in the abdominal muscles is handled, the excess skin is cut and removed from the body.

These procedures performed in mini-abdominoplasty are more limited.

Although not completely invisible, scars can be easily hidden even under a bikini. Partial or full abdominoplasty procedures create excellent results for patients with abdominal muscle weakness or sagging. In most patients, excellent results can be maintained for years with regular exercise and diet.
